PET FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Established in 2009 Raffle Rescue Inc is a unique non-traditional rescue for animals The program of pet food assistance developed in 2008 had never been done in the rescue industry before. Most traditional shelters/rescues concentrated on rescuing, adopting, fostering and so on the animals that came into their care, BUT just how did those animals get there? Where did they come from? The answer: someone's home. One of out of many reasons people surrender/give-up/abandon their animals is simply because they can no longer afford to feed them, that is where Raffle Rescue steps in and has been making an impact on surrenders to local shelters simply by helping families, seniors and many individuals with pets to keep them in their homes when they find themselves struggling to do so.
We first focused on our senior's with animal family members in the beginning and gradually continued to expand to the most needy in our community who find themselves in an unforeseen circumstance in their financial situation which may lead them to make one of the most difficult and upsetting decision of their life - to surrender their animal(s) simply because they can no longer afford to feed them- these little lives already have a shelter, have a home, have someone to care for them - SO, Let's Keep Them in the Home they Already Have !©
Unique, different, a great idea... are just some of the wonderful comments folks say to us all the time. Yes, our name is different but it's simple:
RAFFLE: Our main funding source, we are self sustaining utilizing our raffle program, kind donations and help from our human friends to do what we do. "Take a CHANCE to give Animals a CHANCE for Life!"
RESCUE: We go directly to the HOME !
Here are just a hand full of the hundreds of animals and counting that were : NOT SURRENDERED - KEPT IN THEIR OWN SHELTER(Home)... because RAFFLE RESCUE was there to Care !
